Common questions

Do I own my domain and website?

Your domain — your web address, like yourbusiness.com — is yours to keep, always. If you ever cancel, we send you a transfer code within 5 business days so you can move it to any registrar you choose. No exit fees, no friction.

Most domains are included — for common, affordable web addresses, annual renewal is baked into your monthly fee. Nothing extra to pay, nothing to think about.

Some domains cost more — certain web addresses carry higher costs set by the registry (the organisation that controls that type of address). This can apply to any extension — .com, .net, or otherwise — if the specific name you want is priced higher than standard. Industry-specific endings (.law, .dental, .studio), newer extensions (.shop, .io), and some popular names also tend to cost more. When this applies, we'll always confirm the exact amount before you commit — no surprises.

How long until I'm live?

The 5 business days breaks down like this:

Days 1–2: We build your site. Once you submit the onboarding form, we get to work. Your site is typically built and ready for you to review within 1 to 2 business days.

Days 3–4: You review it. We send you a private preview link. You check it, tell us what to adjust, and we make the changes. You approve it before anything goes live.

Day 5: Your web address reaches the internet. Once live, your web address needs to spread across the internet's directory system — this is automatic but can take up to 24 hours. During that time your site is live; it just takes a little while to be reachable everywhere in the world.

The clock starts the moment you submit your onboarding form — not when you sign up or pay.

What counts as an "update"?

One update = one change to one section or page (e.g. updating your hours, swapping a photo, editing your bio). New pages or major redesigns are separate requests — we'll quote those clearly upfront. No hidden costs.

Unused updates do not roll over — they expire at the end of the period they belong to (end of the month for monthly plans, end of the quarter for Presence).

Is there a contract or lock-in?

No contracts. Month-to-month. Cancel anytime — just email us at info@bizzvis.com. We want to earn your business every month — not trap it.

What about sales tax?

Prices shown exclude applicable taxes. Tax is calculated automatically by Stripe based on your billing address and shown as a separate line item on every invoice — nothing hidden, nothing manual.

Washington State customers: WA retail sales tax (~10.2% in most areas) applies and is collected by Bizzvis.

Other US states: No sales tax applies today. This may change in future — if it does, the amount will appear clearly on your invoice and we'll let you know in advance, so nothing catches you by surprise. In the meantime, depending on your state's rules, you may still be responsible for self-assessing and remitting use tax on your purchases; check with your tax advisor if you're unsure.

Canadian customers: Where applicable, Canadian federal GST/HST and provincial tax will appear on your invoice. Until the GST/HST registration threshold is reached, Canadian customers are responsible for self-assessing any applicable tax in their province.

Do you send marketing emails? Can I unsubscribe?

Bizzvis sends two kinds of emails and it's important to know the difference:

Service emails — onboarding messages, invoices, support replies, and site notifications. These are part of your service and are sent regardless of marketing preferences.

Marketing emails — tips, updates, promotional offers. We only send these if you've given us permission, either by checking the consent box on our contact form or through our existing business relationship. Every marketing email includes a clear unsubscribe link, and we honor all unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.

Canadian residents: Bizzvis complies with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Marketing emails to Canadian recipients require your express consent. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

Can I upgrade my plan later?

Of course. You can upgrade at any time — your site, content, and domain all transfer seamlessly. Downgrades are also possible; note that moving to a lower-page tier may require consolidating your content. We'll work with you on the transition.

Do you provide branding or logo design?

We build and manage your web presence. You provide your logo, brand colors, and any photos you have. Don't have those yet? We can recommend trusted designers.

What if I need something custom?

Talk to us. We handle a lot of requests that fall outside the standard plans. If we can help, we'll quote it clearly. If we can't, we'll point you somewhere that can.
